Theoretical and Experimental Analysis of Asymmetrically Clipped-FSK VLC System

In this article, energy efficient asymmetrically clipped frequency-shift keying (AC-FSK) based visible light communication (VLC) system is theoretically and experimentally demonstrated. order to facilitate straightforward comparison with the experimental results, theoretical expression for bit error probability, on Euclidean distance analysis of AC-FSK symbols, provided. The VLC setup commercial off-the-shelf components software defined radio. rate (BER) performance evaluated considering maximum likelihood (ML) receiver, 1-tap discrete cosine transform (DCT) receiver frequency-domain harmonic receiver. Simulation results reveal that ML receivers almost identical. On other hand, both state-of-the-art unipolar (U)-FSK, we also gather BER schemes same. However, complexity 41.6% 33.3% less compared U-FSK modulation $M = 16$ 128$ , respectively. This because unlike U-FSK, requires limited number harmonics its optimal operation.
